Alexandra is an attorney, mediator, and founding member of the Law Office of Alexandra M. Geczi PLLC.
Born and raised in Dallas, Alexandra is a graduate from Lake Highlands high school and the University of Texas at Austin. Alexandra focuses primarily on family law and mediation. She distinguishes her practice from other family law firms by expanding the traditional meaning of family law to include not only divorces, adoptions, child custody and child support matters but also guardianships, basic estate planning, and minor quasi-criminal matters, which often arise with the traditional family law issues. By doing so, Alexandra applies a “holistic approach” to her practice and focuses on developing long-term relationships with her clients.
After college, Alexandra moved to Georgia to pursue her law degree, graduating from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2004 with a juris doctor degree and a certificate in legal writing from the school’s nationally recognized legal writing program. At Mercer, Alexandra participated in moot court, as a competitor her first year and as a coach her second year, co-authored a law review article, and took on several leadership roles within different organizations. She has also taken and passed three bar exams and is licensed in Texas, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
After law school, Alexandra moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There, Alexandra was an associate at Williams, Cuker & Berezofsky, a plaintiffs’ side civil litigation firm, where she worked primarily on class action lawsuits involving manufacturers of diet drugs and hormone replacement therapy drugs. However, she was dissatisfied with the lack of client interaction in this area of practice, and she decided to refocus her career on the area of family law. In 2006, Alexandra moved back home to Dallas. She joined the family law firm of Goranson Bain Larson Greenwald Maultsby & Murphy, and eventually went on to open her own family law practice in 2008, The Law Office of Alexandra M. Geczi PLLC.
Alexandra is married and has a cat that she loves to spoil. She speaks Czech fluently and has a basic proficiency in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, music, and travel.
